Six drown as jeep plunges into Chitral River

CHITRAL, 17 July: At least six people drowned and four were pulled out from Chitral River on Monday after a passenger jeep carrying as many as 10 people plunged into it near Chew Bridge in Chitral.
Police said the ill-fated jeep was on its way from Arkari to Chitral when it plunged into Chitral River near Chew Bridge. Police said the search was underway to found out the six people and Jeep.
Chitral residents complained that most of the accidents took place as there is no protective wall to Chitral River. Moreover, they said C&W department has made ditches on the road which are causing an increase in the road accident.
