MIRANSHAH, 17 February: The repatriation of displaced people of North Waziristan Agency from Afghanistan has been suspended for an indefinite period due to closure of Pak-Afghan border.

Assistant Political Agent Miranshah Anwar Shah Shirani said the Ghulam Khan check post at the Zero Point has been sealed over security concerns. He said the patrolling of security forces on the border has also been increased to check the infiltration of militants.

The Pak-Afghan border was closed on Thursday after a spate of terror incidents in Pakistan which Pakistan believes are carried out by elements availing shelter in Afghanistan.
