Polio workers kidnapping: FR Tank admin stops Khasadar Force’s salaries, development work under FCR

FR TANK, 17 May: Political administration of Frontier Region Tank on Wednesday stopped salaries of the Khasadar Force personnel and development work in the area of Wraspoon, sub-tribe of Bettani, under collective responsibility clause of the Frontier Crimes Regulation (FCR) following kidnapping of polio workers.
Political Agency Taimur Afridi said that security of the polio team was the responsibility of Wraspoon tribe. He said that salaries of the Khasadar Force and development work in the area has been stopped action would be taken against Wraspoon tribe as polio workers had been kidnapped from their soil. He said that action tribal elders of the Wraspoon tribe would be arrested under territorial responsibility section of the FCR.
It is pertinent to mention here that unknown armed men had kidnapped polio team members that include area incharge Sanaullah Marwat, polio worker Raqibullah and security guard last night. The kidnapper later released two of them- Raqibullah and Khasadar Force personnel Pai Gul.
