Kharlachi border closed as part of Muharram security plan

PARACHINAR, 25 September: Authorities have decided to keep the Pak-Afghan border at Kharlachi point in Kurram Agency closed during Muharram ul Haram to avoid any unhappy incident, officials said.

Political muharrar Zahid Younis told TNN that the local administration also imposed ban on pillion riding. Besides, curfew would be clamped on the Tall-Parachinar road on 9th and 10th Muharram.

Stringent security measures would be adopted to provide security to the processions. The administration is also mulling to suspend mobile phone service on 8th, 9th and 10th Muharram.
