Well-equipped, highly-trained Eagle Force to counter terrorists in Balochistan

QUETTA: The Government of Balochistan set up a strong and well-equipped ‘Eagle Force’ to counter militancy and growing incidents of terrorism in the province.

The force comprised of 400 personnel would be deployed in the provincial capital soon. Inspector General Police Balochistan, Moazzam Jah Ansari, while talking to reporters, has said that a proposal to establish a new police force comprising around 1500 security personnel is under consideration.

It would be set up for the security duty in the provincial capital aimed to send police personnel back to the police stations.
He said that another Eagle Motorcycle forces has been established for patrolling in the every road and street of Quetta to keep eye on the suspects and provide security to the people.

The police chief added that work a tangible strategy would soon be devised, on modern lines, to contain and counter growing incidents of terrorism, adding that recently a well-equipped and highly trained Anti-Terrorist Force (ATF) comprising of 200 personnel has completed training.
