Wahab Riaz out of Champions Trophy with ankle injury

PESHAWAR, 6 June: Pakistan fast bowler Wahab Riaz has been ruled out of rest of Champions Trophy after suffering ankle injury during match against India on Sunday.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said Wahab Riaz will take two weeks to recover from the injury. It has requested the International Cricket Council (ICC) to approve replacement for Wahab Riaz. The fast bowler was facing fitness problems ahead of Champions Trophy. He proved to be most expensive bowler for Pakistan in match against India and conceded 87 runs in 8.4 overs. He was also unable to come to bat against India after suffering injury.
