Two killed, eight injured in two different incidents in Khyber

LANDI KOTAL: At least, two persons were killed and eight others were injured in two different incidents in Khyber Agency on Monday, officials at the political administration said.

In first incident that took place in Prang Darra area in Loye Shalman where Ikramullah and his son Ihtesham were shot dead while another son received bullet injuries. He was rushed to Agency Headquarters Hospital for treatment.

The culprits, whose names could not be confirmed, fled the scene after committing the crime. Motive behind the crime was old enmity over women, the officials confirmed and added that a case has been registered against the suspects. They said Ikramullah was a serving Khasadar official.

In the second incident that happened in Landi Kotal where two women among eight persons were shot and injured after opponents opened firing on their car they were travelling in. The injured were taken to hospital for treatment.

Officials at the administration said that the incident happened in Mirdad Khel area over property dispute. The administration sent security personnel to avoid any untoward incident.
