Sports Gala kicks off in Upper Dir

UPPER DIR, 6 December: Wari Sports Gala arranged by the district government in Upper Dir got underway on Tuesday.

District Nazim Sahibzada Faseehullah and former MPA Behram Khan inaugurated the sports gala which will continue for two weeks. Competitions in cricket, volleyball and  other sports will be held during the event, while a Mushaira will also be organised on the occasion.

The event organisers said 40 teams have approached for participating in cricket competition, 20 teams have made entry for volleyball tournament and 16 teams have registered for football competition.

Sahibzada Faseehullah said on the occasion that the purpose of organising the sports gala was to provide healthy environment to the youth and attract them towards positive activities.
