Seven-year old boy raped in Mardan

MARDAN: Yet another incident of child abuse took place in Mardan, where a man allegedly raped a seven-year old child in Ahmadabad locality of Mardan.

The police, while quoting mother of the victim, said that her son Shah Faisal went to a nearby seminary in the evening and he returned home crying. She said that when asked, Shah Faisal accused 20-year old Zeeshan of raping him.

The police arrested the culprit and produced him before a judicial magistrate where he was handed over to the police on two-day physical remand. The police also sent DNA sample to a forensic lab and waiting results.

This is the fourth incident being reported from Mardan over the last three months. A six-year kid was murdered before being raped while another child named as Asma 4 was found dead in sugarcane field a month ago.
