Sanobar Club win cricket tournament in Tank

TANK: Sanobar Club of Dera Ismail Khan have won Challenge Cricket Tournament in Tank.

The final of the tournament was played at Grass Ground on Tuesday, where Sanobar Club defeated DI Khan Club by five wickets. Twenty teams from Tank, Jandola, Lakki Marwat and DI Khan participated in the tournament.

Tank District Council member Saeed Ahmed Khan, who was chief guest at the concluding ceremony, awarded Rs20 and trophy to the winning team and Rs10,000 to runners-up.

Ibrahim, a local player, said while talking to TNN that it was first such tournament in the area which provided opportunity to players to display their talent. He called upon the government to provide facilities to local players as there was no dearth of talent in the area especially in cricket, volleyball and football.
