PESHAWAR: The holy month of Ramazan will begin in Saudi Arabia tomorrow (Thursday) as the moon was not sighted on Tuesday.

According to an announcement of the Saudi Supreme Court, Ramazan crescent was not sighted in the kingdom. Media reports said bad weather and dust had made observation difficult.

Ramazan will also begin in Malaysia, Australia, England, Japan, UAE, Gulf nations, US and other countries across the globe tomorrow.

In Pakistan also, the holy month is likely to begin from tomorrow as the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will hold its meeting in Karachi today (Wednesday) to sight the crescent for Ramazan.

The Pakistan Metrological Department says there is a fair chance that the moon will be sighted today. Climate is expected to remain partly cloudy in the country. The citizens have also been asked to contact the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee if they see the moon.
