PSL: Quetta Gladiators beat Islamabad United by six wickets

PESHAWAR: Quetta Gladiators defeated Islamabad United by six wickets in a match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in Sharjah on Wednesday.

Quetta Gladiators invited Islamabad United to bat first after winning the toss and restricted them to 134 runs for the loss of seven wickets. Luke Ronchi was top scorer for Islamabad United with 43 runs.

Gladiators surpassed the target with six wickets and 17 balls to spare due to brilliant batting by Kevin Pietersen who scored 48. He was declared player of the match.

Gladiators moved to second spot on the points table after Wednesday’s victory, while Islamabad United moved to fifth place. Karachi Kings are leading the table with three wins out of three.

Quetta will face Peshawar Zalmi in the next match of the mega event today (Thursday). The match will begin at 9:00pm (PST).
