PPP committed to ensure FATA-KP merger: Zardari

PESHAWAR: Former president and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has said merger of FATA with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is his mission which he will achieve come what may.

At a meeting with tribal elders from North Waziristan Agency at Zardari House in Islamabad on Wednesday night, Asif Zardari said Waziristan is a beautiful region, but its peace has been destroyed under a conspiracy. He said the people of FATA suffered a lot due to militancy and now they deserve jobs, basic facilities and better lifestyle. He said the PPP after coming into power will make sure that the people of FATA get all rights enjoyed by other citizens of the country.

On the occasion, Malik Ghulam Khan Wazir, Malik Muhammad Asheer, Zaitullah Khan, Asal Mir, Malik Ayaz Khan, Ashraf Khan, Sami Mohmand Wazir, Mirbat Khan, Noor Khan, Ashraf Khan, Fazal Khan, Masood Khan, Sakhi Sarwar Khan and several other tribal elders announced to join the PPP.
