Police arrest ‘murderer’ of transgender Hajira

PESHAWAR, 13 November: Police has arrested the alleged murderer of a transgender person who was stabbed to death a few days ago, sources told TNN here on Monday.

According to the sources, the accused Farhan, a resident of Gulbahar locality, confessed to the crime during investigation. The accused informed the investigators that he killed transgender Hajira after she refused to make friendship with him.

Police has found the mutilated dead body of Hajira from Darmangi area on the Warsak road. Her body was shifted to the Khyber Medical College where the administration refused to keep it in the mortuary as it was severely disfigured.

Hajira, whose real name was Nawabzada, was hailing from Mansehra district.
