PHC asks SAFRON Secretary to resolve problems of families of martyrs

PESHAWAR, 7 December: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) has directed the Secretary States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) to personally hear the problems of the families of martyrs on 18 December and resolve their problems.

A two-member bench of the PHC comprising Chief Justice Yahya Afridi and Justice Younis Thaheem issued these directions on Wednesday while hearing a petition filed by the widow of Shaheed Gulzar. The petitioner said her husband was martyred in the war against militancy. She said although she was given monitory compensation according to Shohada Package, but her son was not given employment and the family also did not get plot and education and healthcare facilities.

The court after hearing the arguments directed the Secretary SAFRON to hear the complaints of families of Shohada and resolve their problems on the spot.
