Pakistan set to play tri-series in Zimbabwe

HARARE: Pakistan team players are all set to travel to Zimbabwe to play the tri-series T20 match in July this year.

The Pakistan team will lock horns with Zimbabwe and Australia in Harare Sports Club for the tri-series T20 cricket match.

Each team will play four matches in a round-robin format from July 1-6 with top two sides meeting in the final on July 8th.

“Following months of negotiations, we are please to confirm we will be hosting a T20 triangular series that involves Pakistan and Australia, said Cricket Managing director of Zimbabwe Faisal Hasnain.

He added playing two of the games’s biggest teams will provide us with a very welcome litmus test as we forge ahead with our plans to develop a stronger Zimbabwe side.

After the T20 matches conclude in July, Pakistan will be able to play five one-day matches series with Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe is currently in recovery process following the its failure to qualify for the ICC 2019 World Cup with a T20 International triangular series at home.
