Pakistan beat New Zealand XI by 120 runs

PESHAWAR, 03 January: Pakistan beat New Zealand XI by 120 runs in the warm-up match played in Nelson on Wednesday.

The host team won the toss and put the visitors in to bat first. Pakistan piled up a massive total of 341 for the loss of nine wickets in 50 overs. Both the openers Azhar Ali (104) and Fakhar Zaman (106) provided a solid start to their team and retired out after completing their centuries.

Hasan Ali, Shadab Khan and skipper Sarfraz Ahmed scored 36, 24 and 21, respectively.

The New Zealand XI team was bowled out for 221 in the 48th over, with spinner Shadab Khan bagging four wickets. Faheem Ashraf claimed two wickets.

The five-match ODI series will get underway from Saturday, January 6, followed by three T20 internationals.
