‘Pak army complete number of projects in Waziristan’

WANA: Major General Abid Latif on Sunday said that a record number of developmental projects have been completed in South Waziristan Agency since peace was restored.

Addressing a jirga of tribal elders, he said that 140 water supply schemes have been completed and 77 others were underway while 67 schools were reconstructed.

He said that around 59 destroyed shops were reconstructed while 45 others were under construction, adding that 53 destroyed schools would be constructed in next project.

“Besides, 22 parks, four playgrounds, four hospitals, two Army Public Schools and a cadet college and dozens of other projects will be completed soon,” he said.

He asked the participants if anyone of them have any complaint from FC and Pak army they could get a number displayed on every checkpoint and lodge a complaint. MNA Jamaluddin and Political Agent Sohail Khan was also present on the occasion.
