NAB initiates inquiry against Saifullah family

PESHAWAR, 12 January: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has initiated an inquiry against Senator Osman Saifullah and his family members for accumulating assets beyond known sources of income, a press release issued here Friday said.

The press release noted that the inquiry has been initiated on the directives of Chairman NAB, Justice Javed Iqbal.

It informed that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter of the accountability body authorized inquiry worth billion of rupees against Senator Osman Saifullah and his family members including Anwar Saifullah, Saleem Saifullah, Hamayum Saifullah, Iqbal Saifullah, Javed Saifullah, Jehangir Saifullah and others.

The accused persons are allegedly involved in accumulation of assets beyond known sources of income having 34 offshore companies in Panama, British Virgin Island and Seychelles.

The press release quoted director general Brig (retd) Farooq Naser Awan as saying that the inquiry will be conducted in a transparent manner and the culprits will be punished as per law.
