Mohmnad Agency Sports Festival to kick off tomorrow

GHALLANAI: The fourth Sports and Youth Cultural Festival will kick off in Mohmand agency today (Friday).

A ceremony in this regard was organised at the Jirga Hall in Ghallanai, the main town in Mohmand Agency, on Thursday where Political Agent Mehmood Aslam unveiled the logo of the festival.

Competitions in football, cricket, volleyball, badminton, athletics, kabaddi, tug-of-war and cycling will be organised during the sports festival. Mushaira (poetry), local music programme and PT show will also be organised for entertainment of the visitors.

The political agent said on the occasion that the people of Mohmand Agency are peace loving. He said the purpose of organising the event is to give a message to the world that the people of FATA love peace and they don’t want any violence in their area.

Agency Sports Manager Saeed Akhtar said the sports festival will conclude on 23 March.
