Khyber Agency: Rs 10 million collected from school teachers for negligence in duty

KHYBER AGENCY, 28 March: The Khyber Agency education department has so far collected more than Rs 10 million from teachers and class-IV employees for their negligence in performing duties.
While talking to media here on Tuesday, the agency education officer Jadoon Khan Wazir said that Rs 10 million were collected during action against schools teachers and class-IV employees who were absent from schools on the working days. He said that the collected amount was deposited in treasury.
Jadoon Khan said that Rs 870,000 were deducted from the salaries of 108 female teachers whereas Rs 150,000 were deducted from salaries of male teachers and class-IV employees.
The officer resolved to eradicate corrupt mafia from the education department and vowed to take strict action against the corrupt people.
