JUI-S announces electoral alliance with PTI
December 06, 2017

PESHAWAR: Maulana Samiul Haq, chief of his own faction of the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (JUI-S), announced electoral alliance with Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) on all constituencies across the country.

The decision to make electoral alliance with PTI was taken at central shura meeting held here at Parda Bagh Peshawar.

The JUI-S leadership scathingly criticized JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman and claimed that he wants to restore Muttahida Majlis-e-Aml for personal interests.

The shura announced that JUI-S would not be part of MMA and said that PTI always respected religious scholars as well as passed several Islamic laws.

Maulana Sami said that he would convince other religious parties to forge alliance with PTI in forthcoming general elections.
