KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has announced to contest the forthcoming general elections 2018 from Karachi as the city will have the best chance for change.

He said this while addressing a gathering in the city’s Gulistan-e-Jauhar locality where he criticized the government for deteriorated condition of the city. Karachi used to be the city where people would come for vacationing, he said, adding that faulty policies and inability of rulers has caused a lot of damage to the largest city of the country.

He said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had the highest rate of terrorism but then it was the most peaceful city of the country.

Addressing another gathering at Burnes Road, he promised to get rid of mafias, including tanker mafia if voted into power in the next elections.

Upon his arrival at the airport, he briefly addressed a small gathering of employees of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) who came to welcome him.
