Governor KP approves projects worth Rs3 billion for Fata

PESHAWAR: Govenor Khyber Pakhtnkhwa has approved irrigation, education, communication and other sectors worth Rs3 billion in Fata. The officials were directed for transparency in funds.

The governor had directed the authorities to complete the projects within stipulated time. The approval was given during a meeting at the Governor House of Fata Development Committee where Additional Chief Secretary Sikandar Qayyum and other officials were present.

The governor was briefed about the projects going on in Fata. The governor has approved Rs1302 million in education sector to provide free books to students from first grade to F.Sc students, construction of Cadet College in Wana, provision of free education.

The governor directed secretary education to improve monitoring system in education sector and improvements that could bear fruits.

Besides, he approved Rs981 for reconstruction, Rs311 for irrigation and water supply schemes and Rs397 millions for promotion of tourism in eight areas of Fata.
