Four officials of oil and gas exploration company kidnapped in FR Tank

TANK, 10 August: Four officials of a private oil and gas exploration company were kidnapped in Frontier Region (FR) Tank on Wednesday.

Political Naib Tehsildar Yasir Salman Kundi said the BGB Company supervisor along with two drivers and a security guard were travelling to FR Lakki Marwat after completion of survey when they were kidnapped by unidentified armed men on gunpoint in Kasar Mama area. He said no group has claimed responsibility for the kidnappings so far.

The security forces launched a search operation in the area after the incident. The kidnapped officials belong to Punjab.

The political administration has asked the local people to play their role in the recovery of the kidnapped officials. It said those who didn’t cooperate with the administration will face action under the collective responsibility law.
