Four martyred, 19 injured in suicide attack on FC vehicle in Quetta

QUETTA: At least four people, including a child, were killed and 19 others injured on Saturday in a bomb attack on a vehicle of security forces on Sariab Road.

According the media reports, a suicide attacker targeted a vehicle of the Frontier Corps commandant who was not present in it at the time of the blast.

Rescue officials said that they have shifted around 19 injured to Civil Hospital wherein a state of emergency has been declared.

The attack came a day after an additional inspector general Ashraf Noor was martyred in Peshawar in a suicide attack on his vehicle. Besides, a senior police officer along with family was martyred in Quetta few days ago.

A suicide bomber hit the convoy of DIG Hamid Shakeel Sabir on November 9 during his morning commute at the city’s Chaman Housing Scheme, killing him, his driver and an assistant sub-inspector.
