Four chips factories sealed in Mardan

MARDAN, 14 November: The district administration of Mardan has sealed four factories for preparing substandard chips and also confiscated a huge quantity of chips from shops in the city.

The district administration officials said they had given a warning to the factory owners and shopkeepers about substandard ships three days ago. On the expiry of the deadline, a team of the district administration on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Imran Hamid Sheikh conducted raids and sealed four chips factories and then confiscated substandard chips supplied by these factories to shops in different parts of the city.

The deputy commissioner said these substandard chips are extremely dangerous for the health of children. He said such raids will continue in future.
