Five-day sports festival begins in Khyber Agency

JAMRUD: A five-day sport festival has been kicked off here at Jamrud tehsil of Khyber Agency where different sports competition would be played among teams of schools.

The festival The festival was inaugurated by Additional Chief Secretary Sikandar Qayyum that was organized by Fata Secretariat Youth Affairs Department to engage youth in health activities.

Teams of government schools from across Fata and Frontier Regions would participate in the festival.

Teams have been registered to play different games including Badminton, cricket, football, hockey, volley ball, basketball, table tennis.

Apart from reconstruction and rehabilitation process, the government has been focusing on to engage youth in health activities to divert their attention from the sufferings anti-social activities.
