RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan Cricket Board on Sunday postponed the semi-finals of the National T20 Cup for an indefinite period keeping in view the prevailing unstable law and order situation in twin cities.

The government has launched crackdown early morning Saturday as law enforcement personnel used tear gas shelling to disperse a sit-in that had blockaded the capital for weeks.

The semi-finals, which were scheduled to be played in Rawalpindi would now be held on Sunday, the PCB said. It said that the new date would be announced after the normalcy return to the cities.

The board said it is monitoring the situation and will update on the latest development. The first semi-final is between Lahore Whites and Faisalabad, while the second is between Lahore Blues and FATA.
