Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee to hold Eid moon sighting meeting in Peshawar

PESHAWAR, 15 June: The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee has announced to hold its meeting for sighting Eidul Fitr moon in Peshawar.

The Hilal Committee said the meeting has been called at the Auqaf Department building which will be chaired by Mufti Munibur Rehman. The committee said the purpose of the meeting in Peshawar is to ensure observing Eid in the whole country on the same day.

However, the unofficial moon-sighting committees including the Masjid Qasim Ali Khan committee headed by Mufti Shahabuddin Populzai are expected to hold moon sighting meetings one day ahead of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee. The people who observed first Ramazan according to the announcement of the unofficial committees said they will also follow the same committees while observing Eid.
