By-election: Polling continues on NA-154 Lodhran

LODHRAN: Voting for the NA-154 by-poll started in Lodhran on Monday after it had fallen vacant following the disqualification of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s Jahangir Tareen last year.

Among the candidates are PPP candidate Mirza Muhammad Ali Baig, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s Ali Khan Tareen and PML-N’s Muhammad Iqbal Shah.

A total of 10 candidates have been contesting the polls including Tehreek-i-Labaik Pakistan is supporting independent candidate Azhar Sandila.

A total of 388 poling stations and 1,043 polling booths have been set up for 431,000 voters. Heavy contingents of police and army personnel have been deployed on polling stations to provide security to voters.
