PESHAWAR, 11 October: Indian cricket fans attacked the bus of Australian cricket team with stones on its way back to the hotel after a T20 match in Guwahati on Tuesday in which Australia handed a massive defeat to India.

A window of the bus was completely smashed when a stone thrown by a fan ripped through it which scared the Australian team. Australian opener Aron Finch shared the picture of the smashed window on his Twitter handle.

“Pretty scary having a rock thrown through the team bus window on the way back to the hotel,” Finch said in his tweet which was re-tweeted by David Warner.

Australia won Tuesday’s match by eight wickets levelling the series 1-1. It was the first match at Barsapara Stadium which according to media reports was marred by poor arrangements for spectators and media.

The Indian authorities apologised to Australia and promised corrective measures.
