AIOU to offer free SSC courses to Fata, Balochistan students

ISLAMABAD: Allama Iqbal Open University has announced to provide free secondary school certificate education to students of Federally Adiministred Tribal Areas and Balochistan.

The announcement was made by Vide Chancellor of the university Dr Shahid Siddique while addressing the first batch of Adult Education that graduated from the university.

Chairman Higher Education Dr Mukhtar Ahmad was chief guest on the occasion where university officials, educationists and students were present in the event. HEC chairman said that there was no great service than teaching someone reading and writing.

It should be noted that the university had also announced providing free education to transgender people.
