Afghan militants attack checkpost in Mohmand Agency

GHALLANAI, 17 June: Militants from across the border attacked a checkpost of the security forces in Mohmand Agency near the Pak-Afghan border on Friday night, but it caused no casualty, FC spokesman said.
FC spokesman said that militants stormed the security forces’ checkposts with small and heavy weapons in Gorsal One, Batho and Torabara areas of the Baizai tehsil of the Mohmand Agency but no casualty was reported.
Security forces befittingly retaliated to the attack and caused huge casualties to the militants. The exchange of firing lasted for about 30 minutes, the spokesman said.
FC spokesman said that yesterday, militants have also attacked on security forces’ checkpost in border areas of Kurram Agency. He said that in retaliation, security forces have killed four militants.
