September 19, 2015

BARA, 19 September: At least 16 militants have been killed in the bombardment of Pakistani jet fighters in Kokikhel area of Tirah Valley in Khyber Agency early Saturday, official sources claimed.

The sources said that two Pakistani warplanes pounded the positions of militants in Rajgal, Tora Tiga and Morga areas and left 16 militants dead. The sources claimed that four hideouts of militants have also been destroyed in the air strikes. However the casualties could not be verified independently as the area is off limits to local and foreign journalists due to lack of communication infrastructure and military operation against militants.

Recently Pakistan Army concluded Khyber 2 Operation and claimed to have cleared the entire Tirah Valley including Kokikhel area from the militants of Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, Lashka-e-Islam and other affiliated groups.
