Sports ground inaugurated in Mardan

MARDAN, 16 May: A sports ground constructed by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government in Katlang tehsil of Mardan was inaugurated on Monday.

Local Member of KP Assembly Tufail Anjum inaugurated the playground which has been constructed with the cost of Rs14.5 million. The area elders and political activists were also present on the occasion. The playground has separate grounds for different sports.

Tufail Anjum said on the occasion that a sports complex will soon be completed in Katlang with the cost of Rs330 million.

The area people also expressed happiness over construction of the playground.

“This playground is spread over 400 canals area which has good facilities for sportsmen. It is a very positive development which will help nurture local talent in sports. The government should provide maximum facilities here by constructing pitches and courts,” Muhammad Ayub, a local person, told TNN.
