PHC Regularises 1,200 Employees Of PPHI
PESHAWAR, 18 March: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) has regularised the services of 1,200 employees of People’s Primary Healthcare Initiative (PPHI).
A two-member bench of the court headed by Justice Waqar Ahmed while hearing the petition filed by Shakeel Ahmed and others suspended the notification of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government regarding closing of the project.
The petitioners said they were performing healthcare duties in the rural areas for the last 10 years and then suddenly the KP government closed the project on 20 September, 2016, which left the employees in deep trouble. The petitioners said the employees should be restored as they were facing immense hardships after losing their jobs.
After hearing arguments from both sides, the court ordered regularisation of the PPHI employees.
