New machinery installed in Parachinar Hospital

PARACHINAR, 12 January: Machinery worth Rs13 million has been installed at the Agency Headquarters Hospital in Parachinar, Kurram Agency.

Assistant Political Agent Shahid Ali Khan inaugurated the installation of machinery at the hospital on Wednesday. The new machinery includes X-ray machine, computer radiography, dialysis machine, generator and other machines.

The assistant political agent said on the occasion that patients of Kurram Agency used to travel to Kohat and Peshawar due to lack of modern machinery at the Parachinar Hospital. However, he said this problem has been resolved now and people will get facilities at Parachinar Hospital.

The hospital’s Medical Superintendent Sabir Hussain said with installation of radiography machine, X-rays will be available to patients in minimum time.

The machinery in the hospital has been installed by the FATA Secretariat.

Tribal elders were also present at the hospital at the inauguration ceremony. They expressed happiness over installation of machinery and said now they will not need to travel to Peshawar or Kohat to treat their patients.
