Militants kill eight security guards in Afghanistan

KABUL, 20 June: Militants opened indiscriminate fire and killed eight Afghan security guards deployed on Bagram airbase in Afghanistan’s northern Parwan province, a spokesperson for the provincial governor told news agency on Tuesday.
The spokesperson for the provincial governor, Waheeda Shahkar told a news agency that two security guards also sustained injuries in the attack. She informed that all the slain security guards belong to Afghanistan. She said the guards were on their way to Bagram airbase when unknown militants attacked them.
No group has accepted responsibility for the attack.
