KP govt forms committee for revival of closed industrial units

PESHAWAR, 18 May: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has formed a special committee for the revival of the closed industrial units in the province.
According to statement issued by provincial commerce and industry department, at least 327 industrial units in the province have shut down out of which 132 in the Gadoon Industrial Estate. To restart all closed manufacturing plants, a committee which was formed two years back has re-activated, statement read.
Provincial minister for commerce and industry will lead the committee. Other members of committee will include secretary industry, secretary chamber of commerce and representatives of other relevant departments.
The committee will categories and give line to the government for the revival of the closed industrial units.
