Jeep Rally to be organised in Kohat on Pakistan Day

KOHAT, 19 March: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tourism Department will organise a jeep rally in Kohat in connection with Pakistan Day celebrations.

Besides the jeep rally near Tanda Dam, water sports, kite flying and archery competitions will also be organised on the occasion, besides the traditional Rabab Mangay (music) programme. A meeting of the Tourism Department headed by Secretary Tourism Muhammad Tariq was held in Peshawar on Saturday to review preparations for the event.

Muhammad Tariq said the jeep rally has been organised in Kohat for the first time. He said the purpose of organising the rally on Pakistan Day is to promote tourism in Kohat.

The Frontier Four Club president Babar Khan said on the occasion that 100 jeeps from his club, four from Islamabad Club, three from Four-Wheelers Club and 10 jeeps of local people will take part in the event. He said the track of the rally will be nine kilometres.
