ICJ stays execution of Indian spy Jadhav till final verdict

ISLAMABAD, 18 May: The International Court of Justice (ICJ) on Thursday ordered Pakistan to stay the execution of Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav until it makes a final judgment in the case.
Announcing the verdict, President Ronny Abraham said, “Pakistan should take measures to ensure that Jadhav is not executed until ICJ’s verdict.
The Court, the statement added, also stated that the Government of Pakistan shall inform it of all measures taken in implementation of the Order.
The Court rejected Pakistan objection of jurisdiction in matters related to national security and ordered to stay his execution.
Jadhav was sentenced to death in March by a military court under Pakistan Army Act.
