Female teachers stage protest demo against non upgradation in Khyber Agency

JAMRUD, 18 May: A large number of female teachers of Khyber Agency staged a protest demonstration and blocked Pak-Afghan road for traffic demanding upgradation of pay scales.
According to protesting female teachers, they visited to accountant office to raise the issue of upgradation with high ups. But when they reached to office, accountant Mukarram started insulting them.
In response to alleged insult, female teachers first staged a protest demonstration in front of accountant office and latter blocked Pak-Afghan road for several hours. They said that issue of male teachers upgradation has been solved but concerned authorities are reluctant to address female upgradation issue.
The protesters warned to block Pak-Afghan road tomorrow again if their demands were not met.
When contacted, Accountant Mukarram Shah said that summery of female teachers upgradation has been forwarded to governor for approval.
