Facebook To Send Team To Pakistan To Address Issue Of Blasphemous Content
PESHAWAR, 17 March: The administration of Facebook has decided to send its team to Pakistan to remove reservations of Pakistan over presence of blasphemous content on the website.
The Foreign Office said in a statement that the Pakistan government had sent a communique to the Facebook administration over the serious issue after which it decided to send a team to Pakistan. The spokesman said Facebook in its reply said it is aware of Pakistan’s reservations over the issue, and assured to resolve the matter through talks.
A case is already being heard in the Islamabad High Court on the issue of blasphemous content on the social media.
Meanwhile, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said the government will go to any extent to stop blasphemous material.
