Eight international footballers to arrive in Pakistan today

PESHAWAR, 7 July: Eight international footballers, including Brazil’s Ronaldinho, will arrive in Pakistan today (Friday).

Media reports said the international players will take part in two football exhibition matches on Saturday and Sunday to promote the game in Pakistan.

Ronaldinho will be accompanied by Brazil’s 2002 World Cup winning teammate, Roberto Carlos, former French midfielder Robert Pires, France’s Nicolas Anelka, Portugal’s Luis Boa Morte, Holland’s George Boateng, England’s David James and John Terry. The security of both the matches has been given to the Pakistan Army.

Pakistan’s international footballer Kaleemullah will also participate in the matches. He said the visit of international footballers will boost the game in Pakistan.
