Dates for trials of FATA Under-16 cricket team announced

PESHAWAR, 12 March: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced dates for trials of FATA Region Under-16 cricket team ‘Star Programme 2015’.

The PCB Head Coach for FATA Region Saqib Faqir said the cricket players born after 1 September, 1998 will be eligible to take part in the trials. He said the first phase of trials for the players of Bannu, FR Bannu, North Waziristan, Lakki Marwat and FR Lakki Marwat will be held at Bannu Sports Complex on 11-12 March.

In the second phase, trials of players from Khyber, Mohmand, Bajaur, Kurram and Orakzai tribal agencies will be held at Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium Peshawar on March 16-17. The third phase of the trials from the players of Dera Ismail Khan, FR DI Khan, Tank, FR Tank and South Waziristan will be held at the ground of Gomal University DI Khan on 21-22 March.

Mr Faqir said the last phase of the trials will be held in Kohat Stadium on 26-27 March, where players from Kohat, Hangu, Karak and FR Kohat (Darra Adamkhel) will give trials.
