Road construction leads to closure of schools, markets in Mohmand

GHALLANAI: Mian Mandi bazaar and education institutions in surrounding areas were closed for two days due to construction work on a road.

Frontier Works Organisation has started work on nine-kilometer road from Mian Mandi till Nahqi Tunnel that would be completed within two days.

The authorities have asked the shopkeepers and traders to close their shops so that work could be completed without delay.

On the other hand, traders community said that closing of the bazaar would inflict a heavy loss while schools closure would waste precious time of their children.

The authorities have diverted traffic coming from Bajaur and other parts of Mohmand Agency on alternative routes.
