The valour of Pakistan Army inflicted colossal loss on the Indian Army which committed a blunder to attack Pakistan on September 6, 1965. Pakistani soldiers and officers fought bravely and wrote chapter of bravery and patriotism.

Col (Retd) Sameen Jan Babar was one such officer who along with other sons of the soil took back the area of Arbat from the occupation of Indian forces, making five soldiers of the enemy to surrender their arms.

Col (Retd) Babar considers himself the blessed one to have fought the war of 1965 and 1971. “I took part in all the wars fought between India and Pakistan and won medals for showing gallantry. I am so thankful to Allah Almighty for this.”

He said that he took first action against enemy army in Arbat area in Run of Kuch. “The enemy occupied some of our area and we successfully vacated that area from the possession of Indian Army.” The government of Pakistan conferred Sitara-i-Jurat and Tamgha-i-Imtiaz on this brave son of the soil.
