CM announces upgradation of KP policemen

PESHAWAR, 19 March: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak has announced upgradation of all the police officials of the province.

The chief minister made this announcement while speaking at a reception hosted in the honour of outgoing Inspector General Police (IGP) Nasir Khan Durrani in Peshawar on Saturday. According to a handout of the Information Department, the grade-5 constables will be upgraded to grade-7, head constables will be upgraded from grade-7 to grade-9 and assistant sub-inspectors will be upgraded to grade-11.

The upgradation will bring the grades of the KP Police on par with the grades of Punjab Police.

Nasir Durrani while speaking on the occasion advised his successors to work with honesty and dedication for the police force and the people of the province to achieve success. He said people and the police force of KP have sacrificed the most during the last many years and now they need peace in their lives.
