12 Saudi Soldiers Killed In Yemen Helicopter Crash
PESHAWAR, 19 April: Twelve soldiers of Saudi Arabia were killed in a helicopter crash in Yemen on Tuesday.
The Yemen Defence Ministry said the helicopter could not be identified properly during its landing and came under friendly fire.
On the other hand, Saudi government said investigation into the incident is underway and nothing could be said about actual cause of the crash. The Black Hawk helicopter came down in Marib province, east of the Houthi-controlled capital Sanaa.
Media reports said it was the worst incident of friendly fire in Yemen.
The Saudi-led military alliance is carrying out operations against Houthi rebels in Yemen for the last two years.
